Garfield Week
I recently visited my parent’s house for the holidays. They are cleaning our their garage and made me take some boxes home because they’re tired of storing my old stuff for me. One of the boxes I took was a box of my Garfield collection.
Back in 6th grade, before I realized that Garfield isn’t funny, I really loved Garfield. I saved anything with Garfield on it. And thanks to the marketing behemoth that is Paws, Inc. that was a whole lot of stuff.
Going through all my old Garfield stuff made me pretty nostalgic. Despite my opinions now, I can’t deny that Garfield was one of my earliest and strongest influences, and I got inspired. So this week is going to be a series of Garfield-inspired Big Sandy Gilmore strips for your enjoyment!

It seems like a lot of stuff just isn’t as fun when you do it as it looks like when you watch it.

my kids love garfield and have worn out some of my older books that i had. at times, i still enjoy the big orange guy myself and think he gets a bad rap from most web cartoonists.
